I got my start in Cardigans when I started with Pembrokes, I think. I fell in love with CH Castell Killin' Time at the Golden Gate Specialty in 1998. I kept in touch with his breeder, Kathleen Mallery, who eventually connected me with Carolyn Cannon of C-Myste. Carolyn and her daughter, Mandy, had bred a girl of theirs to Texas. It took four years, but I got Ollie (C-Myste Baledwr Wocket N My Pocket, PHC, CGC). When Ollie was about 18 months, and we were up in Oregon for a show, Carolyn had some puppies that were getting ready to find new homes. I left Carolyn's house in tears and went back that direction a week later to get the puppy who I can truly call my doggie savior. Dakota (CH. C-Myste Dakota, RA, CGC) was truly a blessing from the minute he came into my life. Dakota is my first Cardigan, my first AKC Champion, and my first dog to earn any sort of Obedience title. He's a great ambassador for the breed and I can't imagine having been given a better start to the breed. My third Cardigan is Sedona (Baledwr Desert Sunset). She is to be my foundation bitch when she matures and finishes her Championship. She is 15 months old and is out of the repeat breeding of Carbon (CH Coedwig's Carbon Blue) to Phoebe (CH Windshyre Stormy Weather). Our most recent addition to the pack is Chance (Farpoint's Takin' Chances) (CH Coedwig's Carbon Blue x CH Coedwig's Addewid of Farpoint). He is a striking blue merle boy with tan points. He was born 2/20/07 and is eligible to hit the rings in August of 07. I'm not breeding yet. I don't plan to have any litters until at least late 2008, but I can refer you to fine breeders in your area.
