Breeding is not taking lightly for me, and I want to be absolutely sure all of my bases are covered.  For that reason, I postponed Sedona's first breeding until such a time that I am comfortable with the financial aspects of whelping and raising a litter.  I hope to have a litter in the coming year.

My decision to breed does not come lightly.  Sedona tested, according to the OFA, as "Mild", which was heartbreaking.  Penn-hip results were returned with 1 hip coming back with a measurement of .63 and the other .42.  The breed median according to Penn-hip is .61.  This means that Sedona's right hip is .02 away from the breed median.  She is asymptomatic (meaning, she shows NO signs of CHD) and since her measurements came back *so* close to the breed median, I decided to go forward with using her.  I will use her with ONLY dogs who have OFA ratings of "Good" or better, to improve the chances of bettering hips.

Sedona is PRA clear through her lines.
